Stewardship"How can I repay the Lord for all the good done for me?"

Psalm 116:12

We once heard a man of wealth explain his generosity. Simply stated, he said, "I was once reminded by a priest that it wasn't really mine to keep."  In a moment of humility and wisdom, he acknowledged that the gifts he had were given to him by God, and in thanksgiving, he returned a portion to support the work of the church.

We each have been given gifts by our God. In thanksgiving, we must consider how we can use those gifts to "repay the good done for us."

In considering the many areas of need in our Parish, remember this: By supporting the work of our Parish, we help spread the Word of God, we tend to the poor and helpless, we raise up children in the ways of the Lord. We do His work. Look to the deeper meaning of your gifts. And thank God.

When we choose Jesus Christ with our whole heart, stewardship is not an option.
